Cape Clogs is a Do Good Campaign Sponsor for Breast Cancer Awareness in 2015.

Throughout the year, for every pair of Pink Ribbon clogs sold, Cape Clogs will donate $5.00 to the Ellie Fund‘s Do Good Campaign.

The Ellie Fund kicked off its 5th annual Do Good campaign on October 1, 2015 in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The effort is a month‐long marketing initiative as the nonprofit partners with many Massachusetts businesses and members of the
local community.

The organization’s goal for 2015 is to raise $157,500 in funds, which would all account for an additional expenditure of $250 per patient to provide a third month of services in the Healing Together Patient and Family Program for the estimated 630 patients and their families that they will serve in 2016.

“The Ellie Fund is excited to launch our 5th Annual Do Good campaign to raise much needed funds to alleviate the burden of breast cancer treatment and improve our patients’ quality of life during their entire course of treatment and beyond. By providing critical support services such as grocery cards, meals, gas cards, transportation to
appointments, parking, light housekeeping and childcare, our Do Good partners are taking an active role in leading the way, providing the hope and funding the care,” said Gail Fine, Executive Director of the Ellie Fund.

The campaign unites local businesses and those in Ellie Fund’s and Greater Boston community to support the extension initiative and the nonprofit’s mission. By providing essential support services to breast cancer patients, the Ellie Fund helps to ease the stresses of everyday life, allowing the focus to be on family, recovery and healing.

The campaign offers three levels of partnership: Leading the Way ($1,000 minimum donation), Providing the Hope ($5,000 minimum donation) and Funding the Care ($10,000 minimum donation). Cape Clogs is a Leading the Way partner this year.

The Ellie Fund is a Needham-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide essential support services for breast cancer patients to ease the stresses of everyday life, allowing the focus to be on family, recovery and healing. Providing critical support services – including transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping, groceries and nutritious prepared/delivered meals free of charge – helps to relieve patients’ burden while in treatment.
